Amplifier emulation without digital modeling?

It’s true, the Black Spirit 200 floorboard can re-create practically any iconic amplifier without ever digitizing your signal. It’s called the Spirit Tone Generator, and it actually re-creates famous amp topologies by switching around analog components. Tubes get all the glory, but every component in a tube amplifier plays a huge role in the final sound, and the Black Spirit 200 floorboard's Spirit Tone Generator switches in whichever components are necessary to achieve the sound of classic amps.

Four independent channels can save and recall up to 128 presets

The four channels on the Black Spirit 200 floorboard amp — Clean, Crunch, Lead, and Ultra — offer a sonic range from classic cleans to modern high-gain metal. Every knob setting on the Black Spirit 200 can be saved to one of 128 preset locations for instant recall — you can even save your favorite tone settings to the Black Spirit app (iOS/Android) for further tweaking. And each channel has its own boost switch, and each has its own sonic character.

Integrate your pedals into your presets

To help you integrate your favorite overdrive pedal, fuzz pedal, wah, or any other must-have pedals, the Black Spirit 200 Floorboard offers two programmable pre-loops for your effects, in addition to the effects loop that occurs after the preamp section. Connect any pedals you want to hit the front end of your amp to these loops, leave your pedals on, and then engage or disengage the loops as you need. You can even program the loop on/off status as part of your presets, effectively allowing you to turn your pedals on and off via preset changes.

A better way to monitor on stage

The Black Spirit 200 Floorboard gives you more options for monitoring on stage than a typical amplifier ever could. You can send a monitor mix from the mixing console directly to the Black Spirit 200 Floorboard's XLR input, connect headphones or IEMs to its headphone output, and then use the Monitor Volume control to balance your guitar within the mix. The band mix will also be sent out the Speaker Out if it's set to Full Range, but not if it is set to Guitar Cab.

Advanced MIDI and footswitch capabilities

In addition to amplification, the Black Spirit 200 floorboard amplifier packs the practical switching capabilities of the FSM-432 MKIII MIDI board. A total of seven switches with LEDs gives you ample foot control for your rig, plus MIDI I/O, and two control jacks for toggle switches or expression pedals. You'll be able to select presets, switch channels, activate effects, and connect external controllers to customize your setup. And because it offers all functions of the MIDI board, it can also be used with the SwitchBlade, CoreBlade, and TubeMeister 36 amps.

Three different ways to control your rig

The Black Spirit 200 Floorboard offers three different ways to manage your guitar tones. In Preset mode, you'll use the Bank Up and Bank Down switches to select different preset banks, with four available presets per bank, plus a tap-tempo switch so you can sync your modulation and delay effects with your song's tempo. In Stompbox mode, three of the footswitches toggle delay, modulation, and boost effects respectively, while the other four footswitches switch between the four different amp modes (Clean, Crunch, Lead, and Ultra). Finally, Direct 7 mode gives you access to seven different presets at a time, one on each footswitch.
